Dental Implant Supported Restorations in Maspeth

Versatile, comfortable, natural – these are all words used to describe the use of dental implants to support dental restorations. Whether you’re in need of a single-tooth replacement or a full denture, dental implants provide the support patients need to do so much more than replace missing teeth – they completely restore patients’ healthy smiles.

Once dental implant posts are placed and the osseointegration process is complete, patients will return to our office to have their dental restorations placed. Whether patients need a single dental crown, bridge, partial, or full denture, we carefully connect the custom restoration to the titanium posts. There are a number of restoration options to ensure patients are completely comfortable with their results. Restoration options include:

  • Permanent – The most popular restoration option is permanent or, more accurately, semi-permanent. Our team connects the restoration to the implant posts using bar or ball attachments. Bar attachments clip the restoration into position on a bar that follows the jaw line, and ball attachments clip together like snap buttons with a smaller piece snapping into a larger. These implant-retained dental restorations cannot be removed without the assistance of your dentist.
  • Removable – Like traditional partial and full dentures, removable implant-supported prosthetics have the added support of dental implant retention, but they can be removed at night or for cleaning as well. Patients who are used to traditional dentures often prefer removable prosthetics.
  • Combination – Some patients need multiple restorations, and a variety of replacement options may be combined to best serve their needs.

Whatever decision you make about your dental implant restoration, Dr. Lorber, Dr. Lefkowitz, and the entire Maspeth Dental team are happy to help. We welcome patients from Maspeth, Glendale, and surrounding communities.
