Full & Partial Dentures in Maspeth

Missing teeth don’t look great, make life difficult socially and professionally, make daily activities like chewing, talking, and smiling more difficult, and contribute to oral and overall health complications. Dr. Lorber creates custom partial and full dentures to renew smiles and put patients on the road to optimal oral health and wellbeing.

Should I Consider Dentures?

Full and partial dentures are made of natural-looking prosthetic replacement teeth set into a gum-colored base. If you are fully or partially edentulous (without teeth), then dentures may be the ideal solution to renew your smile. Partial dentures, sometimes called partials, are a good choice for patients who have healthy teeth remaining. Dr. Lorber works to determine the tooth replacement option that’s best for your unique smile.

Benefits Associated with Partial and Full Dentures

  • A more youthful appearance because of added support for facial muscles
  • Renewed ability to eat a well-rounded diet
  • Improved articulation
  • Increased self-esteem
  • Stabilization of existing teeth – no drifting
  • The ability to smile, speak, and laugh with confidence
  • A decreased risk of gum disease with prosthetic teeth to protect soft tissue

How are Partial and Full Dentures Stabilized?

Traditional upper and lower dentures are typically anchored in position using natural suction or a minimal amount of denture adhesive. Dr. Lorber uses subtle metal clasps to secure partials, or we may recommend Valplast, metal-free partials. Valplast partials are thin, flexible, and made from gum-colored acrylic for a natural-looking design. Alternatively, we may advise patients to consider dental implant supported prosthetics. Dr. Lorber takes time to discuss options for your specific circumstances, and help you determine the right solution.
